Filtered Bassline

Anyone know how I would go about making a filtered bassline out of my chopped sample sequence?

1. Insert a Filter/EQ on the specific Track

2. Create a Keygroup program using your sliced samples then add a filter in Program Edit Mode

Low pass filter is easiest and have it only give you the low end content in the sample between 60-90hz, technically up to 120hz, but most hip hop/electronic deep low end tops off about 90hz.

Lol i'm coming from maschine so this keygropup program thing sounds confusing, but I'm sure i'll figure it out. Thanks for the quick responses.

So I'm having trouble with this. I inserted the filter onto my bassline track, but the whole sequence sounds filtered out now. I have no clue what to do next.

Are you sure you put it on a track? It sounds like your not in the track mixer. But in the program mixer.

Yea I put it on the track and it works now but its cutting the other parts of my sample off. Its the same sample that i'm using for my verse, I took out a few parts but its the main sample lead that I wanted to filter out. Is there a way I can make it not cut off the other parts of the sample?

"Here's away" Filter using a Duplicate Pgm

1. Duplicate the Program that has the samples you want to create a filter bass line from with in the sequence.

2. Copy the events from the Original Program sequence to a (unused track) with in the sequence.

3. On the new copied track you selected change the Pgm to the (Duplicate Program) you created.

4.Select PROG Edit> Select the filter of choice from Filter drop down menu. Then adjust the the cutoff and Reso to your liking.

5. Reference the filter audio levels and settings layered with you original not filtered track sequence by soloing both together in the Track mix window. Once they are leveled to your liking unsolo and make adjustments as you see fit with the rest of the elements within your beat.
