Is there a way to...

Is there a way to record automation or program parameters, such as cutoff, for a DRUM program??? If so how? I can't seem to do this and it's bugging me, seems like something that should be there. Haven't seen anyone mention this besides me.

With the track selected that contains the drum program you want to automate go to the main screen. Right above the Qlinks in the software you can select a parameter to assign to a Qlink and also select which pad it's controlling. Once you have the desired parameter assigned to a Qlink you can just hit overdub and start twisting away.
You can do this from the hardware too by pressing shift+Qlink

Yeah me either, wish we could, but it's better than nothing I suppose.

I really hope there is some ultimate logic behind all of these illogical seeming things.

the reason for that is because there's only a couple parameters that are automatable in drum programs (all the parameters you'll see in the real time qlink parameters for drum programs). We didn't want to confuse users by being able to automate only some of the parameters.
You can automate all parameters in program edit for plugin programs though.

Any chance the automation will get expanded to more parameters in the future?

We could definitely do some cool things with Keygroup automation, as well as FX automation. Are they at least in the Roadmap?

Fair enough, and enough to keep me around... thanks again Pete, keep up the great work. You guys have the opportunity to really do something here to change the way we make music, it's very exciting to watch it unfold and be a part of it.
