Does anyone else have problems with sampling through S/PDIF.
I get the sound in and out but can't sample. I've tried every setting but no.
If someone knows what settings i can try?
I have also checked software preferences but can't find anything what could affect on that.

I am using proper coaxial cables.

Should be using optic cables.

Check the source if its coyrighted. If it is, most likely you won't be able record off it for bootlegging reasons.

Other than that, did you set the Ren to sample from the SDIF? Can also be that its set to analog in.

I haven't found that setting nowhere..

Have you looked in the ASIO (Windows) or Core Audio (Mac) sound control panel for the Renaissance audio interface?

Maybe there is a setting there to switch input 1/2 from analogue to digital, if not an option somewhere in MPC Software.

Try looking in there, either through the "Show device control panel" button on the MPC Software Audio Preferences panel, or through the computer OS control panels/system preferences.

Or, in the MPC Software Audio Preferences panel, is the Renaissance SPDIF input an option in the list of Active Input Channels?

The list of Active Input and Output Channels only shows two lines of channel options at a time, you have to scroll down to see more channel options.

Spdif on ren is coax, look at a pic of the back of the ren.
Orange connector denotes digital spdif on most gear.
