Manual chopping question

So I have a sample thats 2 minutes long and want to click in my own chop markers, but everytime I press chop to go into chop mode, It automatically adds like 50 chop markers that I dont want. How do you stop that?

Reduce the 'Threshold' value to something low, or change the 'chop to' value to Regions etc.
