Confirmed Rtas plugin causing pro tools errors.. -9128

I can normally work around 64-128 buffers no problems,using a large amount of plugins.I noticed if I try to load the mpc ren plugin in PT 10.3.3 it's creating issues and errors I've yet encountered. -9128 dropouts, when for instance, adding a new kit, or switching a patch on another plugin, please note, if the REN isn't loaded, it does not do this.


So my comment to Akai is, when you go 64bit in 1.4 please upgrade the plugin as well. I'm not sure why Rtas was even coded, when AAX is their new format, and future, but Rtas is what we have now.For all intents and purposes, if you have a chance to check it out please do.

I can unequivocally confirm this! As a matter of fact, 1024 sample buffer settings (on my RME FF800) was the minimum I could set my playback engine for everything to gel in Pro Tools 10

(Let me ask you this; do you use a control surface like a Command 8? I ask this cos, when I disengaged the Command 8, I got better performance at low buffer settings (even at 128 buffer!). Also, doing the reverse by engaging the Command 8, and bypassing the MPC Plugin - (i.e no sounds from MPC), this also yielded good performance also at low buffer settings.)

Anyway, last night I finally upgraded MPC to 1.4, and I have noticed everything is all good at 512 buffer in Pro Tools 10, which was not so prior to this upgrade. I will test lower buffers when I get in the studio tonight.
