I bought the Ren a week ago and noticed the Polyphony in the ref manual was listed as 64. Most sites like Guitar Center also list the Ren at 64 Polyphony. Then I noticed that Sweetwater advertised the Ren at 128 Polyphony. Now on Akai's page the Ren is listed at 128 Polyphony while the Studio is listed at 64. I never heard any announcement about this. I guess Akai did it quietly. Anyone else notice this? Or maybe someone else already mentioned this and I missed it.

Yes I believe they bumped it up either on the version 1.2 or 1.3 update.

The bump in polyphony was done a long time ago. It just wasn't advertised in the manual or website for some reason.

I was wondering this myself as I see on akai's site that the ren osftware polyphony is 128

but the the studio the software polyphony still says 64.

I take it they just have not updated the studio's specs on their site, as they do use the 'same software'...

Correct me if I am wrong about this MPC software being 'the same'
