Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.
Looking @ the breakout cables via video they look as if they're of NO USE! Too small to reach your sound module's midi ports & the cables themselves looks like it wasn't well thought out. Has anyone used them yet w/any hardware synths/modules yet? How do u use them(referring to what I mentioned earlier)?

I don't think the breakout cables on the studio are meant to be regular midi cables. You would still use regular midi cables to make your connection. I think it's made this way to keep the studio thin.

But using regular midi cables aren't possible b/c of the design of the breakout cables ports (I assume by how it looks).

1.Plug the small end of the breakout cable into the studio midi in/out port
2. Take a regular midi cable and plug it into the other end of the breakout cable. (the fat round end)
3. Now plug in the other end of your regular midi cable into your hardware midi in/out.
Just think of the breakout cable as an adaptor.

Ohhhh OK so so that's how it works? I was just asking judging by pics I saw(I don't have the studio yet) b/c I haven't seen anyone ever midi up anything yet lol
