Upcoming MPC Studio and MPC Ren Retail Price Drop

Looks like the MPC Studio and MPC Ren will be receiving a price drop soon. The MPC Studio retail price will be dropped to $399 and the Ren to $999. Thoughts?

simple economics says price cuts is driven by demand

following the pattern of the previous mpcs, 1000, 2500, 5000 is discontiniuation on the horizon...previous mpcs got discontinued within couple yrs of production.

and last thought, this will drive second hand hunits to dip to all time low to legacy/discontinued mpc price range.

is buying new mpc wise choice considering akai's past, price point and readiness of NI Maschine.

Yep we just had this 'discussion' and quite frankly the responses were as expected and I have no doubt this 'discussion' will proceed as the last one did - i.e. a bunch of alpha males arguing the toss over who's the biggest troll, and so on...yawn.
