Extreamly usefull... Use it all the time on the 4k

Shift + numberic pads = user shortcuts

Shift + touch knob = track select

(the knobs are touch sencitive, correct ... So this to would be a workflow improvement..

I use them all the time too....for some reason I use them alot for accessing the sequence edit items in the menu... nothing stopping Akai from implementing what you are talking about (quick press to navigate) though and still keeping the numbers.... best of both worlds....

also use them to jump to specific tracks an sequences...

Well for that I was reffering to the 16x knobs.. Shift +touch a knob = selects track .. If you wanted to jum quckly to track 17, you would hit pad bank b and shift +q1 etc etc ..

that would't work too well for me...if i wanted to go to track 23 I'd have to hit bank b and size up that track 23 would correspond to Q7...I'd have problems with that...just typing 23 and pressing enter works quickly enough for me...
