Hello this is my first post here so bear with me.
I just bought the Ren and I am really enjoying it, it is really an amazing product regardless of the bugs etc. However one thing I cannot do is change the midi note of a pad, like I am able to on the mpc 2500. The reason I want this feature, which seems simple enough, is to layout my Roland TR 808 (with midi retrofit of course) sounds as I want to. For now I have kick and snare on pad bank D and the rest of the sounds on pad bank E...For old drum machines, and new ones, this simple feature would be perfect as you could map all of your drum sounds across the ren-s pads and create diferent templates for your external drum machines (like you can do on the 2500.
so anyone? can you think of a workaround?
I couldn“t...
Thanks!

yeah no way around this except if you use midi controller mode...
Midi controller mode should be on a pad level rather than a whole seperate mode... REal hybrid styles...
this is where a 2500 or 1000(jjos) really puts the ren to shame...
Because you can have a pgm where some pads are samples and some are midi notes and then you can dedicate others as midi cc...
Are real hybrid true intergrated flexible setup...

Yeah. Why dont they call up the japanese guy to develop their software?
They listened to known producers, etc, to help them develop the hardware, which i think was worth it, since it is really well made and aesthetically pleasing and authentic. So why not go the extra mile and hire jj to develop what every mpc user considers to be the best software ever made for an mpc?
