MPC Ren + timecode vinyl

I'm thinking about buying a MPC Renaissance and already know about the features and functionalities (or disfunctionalities in regard to bugs ). So I got a question specifically regarding the audio interface:

What I would like to do is: use the audio interface of the Ren to work with a dvs / timecode vinyl system like traktor or serato.
The setup would be quite simple: Rens audio interface, an analog dj mixer and one turntable to record some additional scratches for the beats.

The ins and outs of the Ren should be enough for the setup with just one turntable. Here's a picture of a soundcard with two tts hooked up, just to imagine it better:

Has anyone already tried this or got some further information on that topic?

the serato/traktor interface will be usb and usually your decks plug into this. i just send the mixer out to the Ren. i can sample from traktor or from vinyl.

Yeah, I know that works. My question was more about if I would need an external audio interface for traktor or serato or if I could utilize the Rens for that purpose.

well when i had serato you had to have the serato usb interface plugged in. and with traktor you need the Traktor usb to have the timecode working. So i believe to my knowledge that you would still need the serato/tracktor interface plugged in but the audio does come from the Ren. hope this helps

I'm 99.9% sure what you want to do isn't possible. I'm pretty sure traktor and serato sound cards are needed to make traktor and serato timecode vinyl work.

I can add the 0.1% missing after reading through a few forum posts this morning. They are (understandably) limiting their software and timecode vinyls to their own dedicated interfaces.

It may work with Virtual DJ Pro though cause that works with any ASIO-compatible audio interface. But since I didn't like the lite version of the software, I'll rather save some cash and get Traktor one day

you can download the time code CD ISO on the serato site for free... or you can score some vinyl. Programs like mixxx (free legit download on their site) can use it and it works well... mixxx can use any soundcard.

I had some looped clips of that time code on my 2000 to see if it was possible to control the program from an mpc and yes you can.. it worked. I just didn't have a good use for it. I used a motu interface.
