Hi,

As of 1.5 (running 1.6 now) and Mavericks two things have gone bad:

Plug-in settings are not saved for UAD plug-ins. When I reopen the file the effects are there but all UAD knobs etc. are set back to default.

Frequently when I drag a sample from the file browser to a pad it just disappears and doesn't assign to the pad. It does add it to the samples list window on the right side though, and that is where I have to drag it to the pad from to make it stick. This happens with maybe 40% of all samples I try to load.

Is it just my setup or are others seeing this?

Thank you,

I don't know why you all dont have two startup disks if you're making music. Have your music HD, and one for everything else where you can update the OS without worrying about compatibility. Or get two computers.

Good idea, but with these issues I am not sure if it was 1.5, Mavericks, or something else like the UAD software itself for the one issue. Which is why I am asking if others have seen this so we can compare systems to see what software versions we have in common or how people resolved them.

I got a bit complacent with OS upgrades as I have done a lot with no issues. Next time I wait awhile or go the 2 disk route like you suggest.

I run 1.6 with Mavericks and have both of the issues you mentioned:

drag and drop works sometimes... one day good the next day not at all

plugin volumes for instance seem to jump after saving and reopening

Mavericks isn't officially supported yet... Perhaps not clear enough that it isn't...
Kinda of weird if your ready to start a new production system with a mac.(purchasing a mpc ren and a new macbook pro etc)

Does the ren actually controll the software fine? I'm hearing it's just the audio/midi driver that has problems?

Aside from those two issues I listed above, and an occasional hang when starting the software for a second time after closing it once, the Ren controls the software fine for me.

Thanks for the info InspectahEX. I wonder if this means that the Ren software needs to be updated or if Apple needs an OS fix.
