My sample had 16 chops so I copied the program and samples just in case something went wrong. Then I had to patch phrase 16 individual sounds, so you are I that menu 16 times not a big deal just a couple minutes of button pressing

(I'm talking about plugins that allow you to change the pitch of a sample in real time without effecting the sample timing... IE: apples AU Pitch or Logic's pitch editors)... These plugins work perfectly fine in other DAW's but I tried using it in the REN and it throws the sample completely off beat. Any advise?

This issue sounds like it's possibly caused by plugin latency. Most good real-time pitch shift plugins I've used in Pro Tools (Waves Pitch, Antares, etc) causes an insane amounts of plugin delay. But because Pro Tools (and just about every other DAW) has auto delay compensation, the audio remains in sync. Since the MPC software doesn't compensate plugin latency, you hear the delay! So your only option really is to use the destructive pitch shift!

Also....Side note... I just did the patch phrase method and it worked..... I chopped a 4 bar loop by the BPM... I just set it to where it had 32 to 64 chops in it..... then converted it to a patch phrase... so when I adjust the pitch in program edit... it kept it right on beat since it was chopped in such small pieces.... Great work around... and quick too.
