your completely entitled to **** or direct your comment my way. just not tell me how i should be or how should use my loot.

and i agree with you really, don't want to argue or create hostility with you.
your point of creating these frivolous product for revenue sounds about right. but also like you said... for those of you that have been watching the Ren and not buying it.... perhaps if they focus on the Ren more and not these little keyboards with colors on them. you and many more might buy the damn thing instead of just waiting for it to improve. there for bringing in real money. 1000 compared to the 40 midi controller.

one the large, you are probably right about the ren aspect. but i think that ship has sailed. no way am i trusting that company really and obviously i am not the only one.

if i was in the market for a large mpc i would get a 4000, perfectly happy with the 1000 really. in my opinion ren is a marketing scheme designed by a comitee, not a work of passion or dedication.

Rhythmwolf is a hell of a name...

I bet it dances well with my Cheetah and Rap Man :smoker:

It will look good lying next to those in some "vintage machines" sample pack brochure released next year. Then again, it could be the new Microkorg after it gets used on some Arcade Fire b-side.

I can live without the cowbell but no clap? no clav? :?

I'm calling on Tom Oberheim to release a DMX mk2. BEST SNARE/CLAP EVER. MO' FLAMS BABY.

I just thought "hey I never read the history of Tom Oberheim. Is he still alive? What is he doing now?" etc. and read the wikipedia page about him.
I love these moments reading these interesting things about a person and his influence.
some of the things that catch my intrests

Ever thought the SP12 and DMX look a like brothers?
Maybe because Tom worked with Dave Rossom and Scott Wedge. (Have anyone ever ask these guys to look into their old cardboard boxes in the garage. They probably have some of those rare pad buttons ;))

One of the original invetstors of Oberheim Electronics was Tony Russo, the whistleblower who was involved in copying the pentagon papers :)

You might know the third party MPC2000 flashrom cards or the 8out boards from Marion Systems. Marion Systems was founded by Tom Oberheim.

sorry for OT but IMO history is interesting and important
