How to add the one effect to all pads??

Ok so this is probably really simple but being my first mpc and still new to the renaissance im having trouble working out how i can add one effect to all pads?

is the only way to do this with the submix?

it's probably easier to put the effect on the whole track from the track mixer inserts. if you put a specific effect on a pad it will cancel any effect you try to apply to a track. that's the easiest i can think of
