Did you try to sample anything with it yet?
I'm afraid you have to install the beta driver to do this without workarounds using soundflower or what it's called.

no not yet i just loaded some samples i perviously had on the ren . then sample it on on my asr 10 .. i will try and sample 2 maro and let you know

so i have mavericks 10.9.2 imac os

with no mavericks ren driver installed ..

i used soundflowerbed to route my sound to sample and it worked

i also sampled from my turntable directly in and it also worked
