Whats up guys?

Fxpansion Geist is super cheap right now through a few retailers $49 usually $249

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audi ... al-edition

The special edition is the full version with an extra sample bank included.
Thought I'd share in case anybody wants a very capable drum sampler (yes it actually samples) plugin for their Ren/Studio/Element

I couldn't pass up this crazy deal.

Here's the Fxpansion website for more details.

It has a very robust built-in sequencer that follows song position (plugin and stand alone). DCAM FX built in as well as Breverb reverbs. Really cool per step automation in the sequencer. You can sample directly into it. Swing and groove templates. Comes with a plugin that you place on the insert of another channel and it sends that audio directly to the plugin for sampling on a different channel (so it has it's own audio routing system for sampling).

Does this perhaps indicate there is a new version coming out?

How compatible is it with Logic X and Ableton 9?

They do these offers from time to time, so it's difficult to know if there's a new version coming or not. That said, it's probably due an upgrade. God only knows what they'd do with version 2, as version 1 is super dope.

Works as standalone and as a regular vst inside Ableton.

Nah, I doubt it but it's possible. Geist is still $249 for the download version on the Fxpansion website. I'm guessing retailers are just trying to clear out box versions. Same thing happened with Ohmicide recently; CD boxes were sold for super cheap but we didn't see version 2 come out after.
