Trouble with the MPC program and REN

I have been messing with this program for about 4 months and its not a robust or flexible as other programs.. Im trying to get into ableton, but its almost impossible to work with the mpc plugin.. is there anything to make this workflow smoother or would another machine be better for me..

my scope is, 16 bit music, hip hop, lounge, and garage music..

im getting a midi keyboard next month and when I bring it in, i want to be able to hop right in and use everything like a orchestra all in one program

if you want to integrate the mpc software with ableton or another DAW, my recommendation for now is to route the audio from the standalone mpc software into the DAW using a routing program such as JACK (windows/linux), Soundflower (os x). i route it into Reaper, i find it a lot more flexible and nicer than trying to use the plugin at the moment.

then you could make a template track for your DAW that has tracks ready to receive audio from the MPC straight away, as well as VSTi's with your bread and butter sounds, that you could map to your keyboard. that would be pretty close to all-in-one for you, probably? but yeah please give more info on your needs.

if you're looking for a real all in one solution and you have the cash, you should look into a workstation/arranger keyboard like roland's fantom, yamaha's PSR/motif stuff etc. etc. these workstations have looping sequencers like an mpc but have lots and lots of sounds inside for doing all your tracks, plenty for the styles you're talking about.

yeah that MPC plugin is so disorienting..

I just want a smooth process..

but I cant even use it in another program.

Yes, if you want all in one, you may need to consider a keyboard workstation.

I sold my Fantom once I got my workflow with my MPC Studio, Komplete, Sonar, and my midi keyboard. It's no all in one solution but all together it just works for me...

You have to find what works for YOU, and make music...

im getting a midi keyboard soon, probably a apk 61 or 88... hopefully they work with the software
