Using an MPC Studio with Ren registered software

Hi guys!

The situation is like this, i have a MPC Ren which i bought new from a store.
Now i'm gonna move to a diffrent country and i can't drag my MPC Ren with me.
I'm just wondering if it's possible for me to buy a used MPC studio and use that with "my" software that came with my MPC Ren?

you should be good either way because if youre buying a used mpc studio.. they probably are going to have the installation disc anyway, ya know?

No problem at all. I use them both together for quite a while now, no troubles. On opening the software there'll be a tiny window briefly flashing, saying something "this isn't the MPC you registered your software with", but that's it. No drawbacks or anything, works seamlessly.

I went the other way: first had studio then got a ren and I had to uninstall the studio software and install the ren disk to get it to work. It didn't see the hardware until I did that. It is also has renaissance printed on the install disk so there might be something different about each install disk.

Launch the software and go to drivers and it will show whats installed and whats not. Install the studio driver in your case and you won't have to remove and reinstall the whole software.

No, same software installer, just uses different drivers for each, as MPCTNT said.
