Copy Program/Performance

Hi all. I'm still using 1.6 because it has everything I need and I'm afraid of upgrading and losing projects as some others have complained about.

Anyways, here's my scenario: I have a 4 bar sequence. On track 1, I have my main melody, which is an intricately chopped pattern containing sounds from about 14 different pads. The program that contains all these pads is in mono mode, because these are the only samples in that particular program, and I want everything cutting everything else off.

Now for track 2, I want to make a duplicate of track 1's performance (without having to re-do the pattern manually, obviously). But on track 1, I want to filter out the lows. On track 2, I want to filter out the highs. Because both of these tracks contain the exact same pads within the exact same program, and they're in mono mode- what would be the best way to safely go about this? Can I copy my program and retain my exact same performance for track 2, so I can EQ it differently in the mixer without affecting track how track 1 is EQ'd?

I haven't figured out an easy way to do this yet without bouncing to the DAW, copying tracks, and doing it there. What should is the process I should go for here? Thanks in advance!

It might've been obvious to some, but I should mention clearly that I want tracks 1 and 2 to be able to run simultaneously with their separate EQ's and without cutting each other off. Thanks!

This can be done automatically in 1.7.1 if I'm not mistaken

i think you can copy everything from track 1 to track 2 and go to track mix and apply the filter on each different trak.

havent gotten a hold of new mixer too well.
but that should work.

ive done this a few times my self exept i had to dupliate program and add effet to each program. but from what ive read if i am correct stuff gets sent to track mixer now not progy mix

1. I'm running 1.6, so…duplicate the program and then what?

2. I can't just copy onto another track because it's all in the same program and I have all pads cutting each other off within the program. Therefore tracks 1 and 2 won't play at the same time if I do it that way.

Anyone out there who understands/can answer my question? No disrespect, but please read what I am trying to do. I want to be able to duplicate the performance from track 1 onto track 2 without having to re-play it, and EQ those two those tracks separately within the mixer, while also keeping my program or programs in mono mode. Thanks.

Duplicate the program
Assign the duplicated program to the second track.
Now you have 2 tracks each with its own program that don't cut one another.
Apply the filters to each program at taste.
