Hi, if you run out of license activations you can get in touch with akai via support at akaipro.com and they will reset your activations for you.
Then you can active again.

Its no waste with same system... even if formatted. I did factory restore a few times and it only used one license until I installed software on spare system and registered.

Or you can back up the MPC.settings file PRIOR to formatting?!
