Using Akai MPC Studio with Reason 8

Dear MPC Users:

I was reading from http://www.noterepeat.com how to use the Akai MPC Renaissance and or MPC Studio with Reason in Windows.

I'm using the Akai MPC Studio.

When all said and done, "MIDI notes coming from from the MPC Software will now trigger Reason's instruments." -quote from http://www.noterepeat.com

Is there a way to reverse this? What I would like to do is use the instruments and tools from the MPC Software, route and record directly into Reason 8 as my main DAW, I guess by using Reason's 8 MIDI OUT feature? Than in Reason 8, convert the MIDI notes into an audio file.

Any tutorials? Could this idea work?

Am I getting this right: You want your audio coming from MPC Software routed into Reason? Since you're on a PC, you might need to use a tool like Virtual Audio Cable ($15) to accomplish that. Mac users can fool around with Soundflower, although it's unsure how long it will continue to work since it's slowly becoming abandonware as far as I know.

(Best way would be using multiple interfaces, but I guess that's not an option.)

Getting MIDI into the MPC is more tricky, although - as I heard - LoopBe is alright. I myself never used it since I switched to Mac some years ago and I've been fine with it - Mac OS X comes with internal MIDI support via virtual bus inside the OS or even via network. BUT: You can't assign certain MIDI channels to specific programmes / tracks / instruments in MPC Software. Correct me if I am wrong, but so far it is only possible the other way round: Controlling Reason's instruments via MPC Software.

I found by trial and error if I create an Audio Track in Reason 8 and pressing the record button, if I tab the pad in the MPC Software the "Sound" is created in Reason's recorded Audio Track.

I think it might have something to due with my Sound Card in my PC, because in Reason, I'm using the ASIO C-Media Oxygen ASIO (64) and in the volume control mixer in Windows 7 64-bit, in the recording tab, I have Stereo Mix set as Default Device.
