I have a 2 part question:
:hmmm: 1.) Why is it when i export multiple tracks my sampled track is coming up as blank .wav file;
for example... I created a sequence that had 5 separate tracks... 4 of 5 tracks were created using MPC Expansion Plugin (The Bank, 809, etc)... the fifth sample is a piano chord that I created on my keyboard then chopped up across pads... that chopped sample refuses to export with the 4 other tracks... but if I solo the chopped sample, mute the other tracks it then will export without issue. Any help on this would be appreciated. (when I say refuses to export I mean that it just exports as a blank .wav file... no sound)

:hmmm: 2.) Mpc Ren has an audio interface but I have a focusrite 6i6 audio interface... I have the MPC ren going into the focusrite audio interface via MIDI cable... is this the best way to by pass Mpc Ren's interface...? is there a correct / better way to connect the MPC ren to an audio interface... for example should I use TSR cables instead of MIDI cables?

why would you want to by pass ren interface?
you dont have to connect mpc ren to no interface cuz it already has a soundcard/audio interface!
your jus tmaking it harder on our self...

Why would i want to bypass the mpc ren interface? Simple answer to that: because the mpc ren is a beat machine and sampler first and foremost... the mpc ren has limited inputs and outputs for interfacing.. if i bypass mpc ren interface i can double back use its inputs in addition to my dedicated audio interface... my audio interface has inputs for two pair of headphones that can monitor the mix at separate levels... my focusrite audio interface is better than the mpc rens interface... and i gain addtional inputs when bypassing the ren...

I was looking for advice as what cables to use to connect my ren to my audio interface... i already know mpc ren has interface but my focusrite is better... i seek advice from someone who may have the knowledge on the better connection for two devices... midi or tsr.

Yet you ignored the correct answer when it was given? :hmmm:

dazastah pretty much wasted his time replying or did you not understand what he said?

Also don't kid yourself into thinking the scarlett-6i6 is a quality, desirable interface.
It's just another useable cheap entry level interface.
Nothing wrong with using it if you want but don't tell yourself it's more than it really is.

For the most part people are bypassing the Ren interface because they already have a high-end interface they are using or because some computers have issues with using the Ren audio interface.

Thats not a correct answer because I did not ask the guy how to choose the focusrite as the audio interface... but he did waste time as THE ANSWER HE GAVE is to a QUESTION I DID NOT ASK.
But maybe one day soon, the question to the answer he gave will be sought out by someone somewhere... but it was never my question as the focusrite was already the chosen driver for my MPC ren before I even had an account here on this site.

 R.E.A.D.I.N.G is FUNdaMENTAL.

I DID NOT ask how to choose the focusrite as my audio interface inside MPC ren software.
I asked what is the best method to connect focusrite to the mpc ren (MIDI or TSR)
I DID NOT ASK how to connect... I asked what is the better CABLE connection MIDI or TSR...

Guy gave an answer to a question never asked... telling me how to connect inside software...

My question was about connecting HARDWARE (MPC to FOCUSRITE via MIDI or TSR?)

And he said you don't need any cables.
Did you try it, did it work?

He doesn't need to ask in a different way he needs common sense.
He's talking about bypassing the Ren's audio interface by connecting another interface to it. :Sigh:

The only way to bypass the Ren audio interface is to select a different interface in the software....plain and simple.

You are right.. i lack common sense for this topic in this forum... i withdraw all my questions...

Thanks to everyone...

Neither is better. It depends on what you want to do.

What do you want to connect the Focusrite audio interface to the Renaissance audio interface for, what signals are you going to send between them, what software is going to use each audio interface for it's audio and/or MIDI I/O?

just_another_dude_online wrote:Guy gave an answer to a question never asked... telling me how to connect inside software...

My question was about connecting HARDWARE (MPC to FOCUSRITE via MIDI or TSR?)

Why do you want to connect them, and what signal are you going to send over that MIDI or TRS (audio?) connection?

MPC Software can be set to use an audio interface for audio I/O from within MPC software. You can choose either the Focusrite audio interface, or the Renaissance audio interface, to work as the audio interface for MPC Software.

If you do really need to connect the Focusrite audio interface to the Renaissance audio interface, the reason for doing so will determine which type of cable is the best.

If you want to send an audio signal between the Focusrite and Renaissance audio interfaces, then a TRS (audio?) cable is better than a MIDI cable.

If you want to send a MIDI signal between the Focusrite and Renaissance audio interfaces, then a MIDI cable is better than a TRS (audio?) cable.

If you want to use the Focusrite audio interface, with MPC Software, instead of the Renaissance audio interface, because it has better sound quality than the Renaissance audio interface, then you do not have to connect them together directly, you have to connect them both to the computer you are using.

Knowledge, understanding, and comprehension, are possibly more FUNdaMENTAL.

just_another_dude_online wrote:If you dont need any cables how would the devices connect? Anyways i already have the devices connected... via midi... i wanted someone with experience to inform me on best method to connect out of usb... tsr... and midi cables... currently using midi cables but i am not sure if its best.

U don't need midi cables connected between the ren and your soundcard because the midi is sent over usb ,so just connect the ren to your computer by usb for midi ,
The audio is also sent over usb but by selecting your sound card in the mpc software it is bypassed.
