Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

Hi, I'm using the MPC Studio professional working primarily in the software.

How do I get pads to cancel each other out, sound wise? For example: If I pressed Pad 4 the sample would play until I press any other Pad. This is how the mpc operates when in sample edit mode.

I created a melody I am fond of in sample edit mode but it does not transfer well in main mode because the pads play over one another. The melody sounds ideal when in sample edit mode. Whenever I extract the samples and play them in main mode they clunk up and cancel each other out.

If this question does not make sense please let me know and I will elaborate. I'm not sure of the appropriate technical terminology to apply here...if I did maybe I wouldn't be asking this question.

Thank you very very much for reading.

phx_chronic wrote:no, don't do that. Set your whole program to mono.

 Yep, that will do it easier, for sure.

Not if you have other samples that you don't want muted in the same program.

 Yep, that is what my initial recommendation was based on. :smoker:
