MPC plug-in not loading

Hi there,

I have a weird issue since 1.7 when opening MPC plug-in. Doesn't matter whether it's AU or VST, but it doesn't load in Ableton Live and the AU doesn't load in Logic. Both sequencers are used in 64 bit mode, computer specs are as followed:

MB Pro Retina 13 inch late 2013, i5, 16 GB
OSX Yosemite 10.10

Every time when I try loading the plug-in the window opens up alright, but when it initializes it always hangs at 67% when loading the "MIDI Controller.mcn" file (see screenshots). I can neither cancel that progress nor do anything else in the programme, since the MPC window completely locks me out of doing so.

Normally when I make some beats I don't mind since I always use it standalone without any hassle at all. But when I tried showing some features during the lecture I was holding today it hang and completely shook me off the thread.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to resolve this?

P.S.: Don't the Akai dudes realize MIDI is an acronym, not a word? It's supposed to be "MIDI", not "Midi".
