Does anyone have experience, works, or whether, for example, mpc2500 mpc to midi studio software?

I admit that I am not sure what you are asking which make me sure that I can answer "No" to your question.

It almost sounds like you're asking if a hardware MPC can be used to trigger MPC software.

I have focusrite audiointerface, i open mpc studio software and go to preferences->midi->my interface is there.

It's possible put mpc 2500 midi cabel-> to my audiointerface-> and choose mpc software right midi setting->

My mobile set up:
Macbook (OSX.6) w/ Pro Tools 8
Mbox2
MPC 2500

I open up the Akai software (1.5) as an instrument in Pro Tools and control some of the functions using the 2500 / midi.
Only the pads, start/stop, velocity (not 16 levels or tuning with pads) control automatically without any specific mapping.
So basically I'm relying on the laptop and software to do most of the work (editing and such). Then when it comes time to sequence, I use the 2500.


Leads me to believe that either Akai or JJOS can make some sort of driver or auto-map that can direct most of the other features of the Akai software to be controlled via midi by the 2500. But if there is something I'm missing in the midi settings for the Akai software that would allow this, let me know!

For now it's as if I had the Akai studio plug in and my 2500 is used as an MPD18 to control it LOL.

I think it is more that there is something missing in the programming of the Akai software that would allow this.

many years later but i find myself with this same question.... any one know if a fix has been made available to control the rest of the functions in the software via 2500?

No, Akai would probably have no interest in doing this, they want people to buy the Studio or Ren (which is fair enough IMO!). I suspect it's very difficult to work out the way the Ren/Studio communicates with the software, no doubt a proprietary method.

Anyone trying to reverse engineer this would be infringing Akai's license so I doubt there's much interest from anyone in doing this.

Just buy a Studio, it's designed to control the software. What exactly is the advantage of using the 2500 to control the software, especially considering you can't even buy the software on its own in the first place?

According to KVR, you can buy the software, but will always need a ren or studio for unlocking it

Not so much an "advantage" but for those who already own an MPC2500 and can get access to the Studio/Ren software, it can be a nice way to do all of your sample editing with the software and still sequence and such with your MPC2500 within a DAW.
For me, when I used it with ProTools, there were very few set backs to not having the studio/Ren hardware.
