so its you. goto system prefs on our mac, click the sound icon and check the MPC for input and output, if you have not done that already.

Ok Im getting sound now, I just got it playing through the computer with my beats headphones,, is it a specific reason why it's only playing the wav tones and not xpm or any other ones

Ok this is the thing, when I go in content to find sounds, the MPC Drum content and MPC library works, but the 809 and Bank folders is not playing anything out of them

U have to change the track type to plugin... the select the plugin u want to use, whether its bank, or any other VST such as Native instrument kontact... VSTs have to be triggered, They are no used directly as audio files

My book will help with everything from fundamentals up to more advanced - proceeds support the running of the forum :)

http://www.mpc-samples.com/product.php/ ... laid-bare/

Also take a look at the manual under the 'Help' menu option in the software.

Try going through everything slowly, step by step and fire off questions here if you still get stuck.

Ok I'm a check that book out but this is the message I'm getting from my bank and 809 samples "load error, there was an error loading this file. Please check that it is not broken and does not contain protected content"

Go with the USB Midi controller. You don't have to attach directly to your Studio (you can't). It just needs to plug into an available USB port on your host pc. You will then be able to select it in the preferences menu of the MPC software.
