MIDI Sync not happening on Windows 8

I had a tune working (MPC w external midi keyboard) nicely on the Mac.

Installed MPC Software on Windows 8, saved the song and samples, etc, and when I play the song on Windows 8, it won't sync w the external MIDI keyboard. The keyboard starts playing before the Ren software.

Is there a setting I'm missing? It was working fine on the Mac.

Sorry the problem is not a MIDI sync one, but a driver one.

I've got the latest driver, but not working with Windows 8, on USB 2 or USB 3.

Gigantic latency on both the MPC software and general system sounds.

On the mac, do you have usb3 ports?

No, it's an older mac.

The research I've done so far leads me to believe that just plugging it into a USB 2 port is not enough, you have to disable USB 3 in the system bios.

So, that's what I'll try to do next. So frustrating, to say the least!
