Hey guys,
My 3000 got fried in a blackout
and so I've moved onto the Ren. I'm really happy with it. I actually think I'm the the target demographic for it haha. Anyways, I've got a pretty powerful computer so using the on board sound card, I can get my buffer size down to 64 (way better than my non-Asio interface) and it's made it way easier to organize my small room (had the 3000 connected to a nearby rack interface that had to fit on a small desk).
Usually once I've made a beat, I track it out into Pro Tools and that's where I process it, EQ, compress, etc. Can anyone chime in on whether the audio interface that comes with the Ren is powerful enough to use for mixing sessions in a DAW like Pro Tools? I've gotten it running at 96khz/24-bit and everything sounds great, but maybe someone else on here has a better insight on whether it could handle it or whether it would be able to process audio just as well as something like a Scarlett 18i20. The Ren initially released at $1300, so it must be at least acceptable.
