This feature has changed the way I hunt for samples. I can't begin to describe the dope functionality this has had on my beat skills. This is exactly what I've been needing and didn't know it. The ability to isolate and stretch a dope sound in a sample or make a tone last a little longer when you need it. There's times when I've thrown in the towel trying to make a sample work right, and ended up deleting the mother fu..ker pissed off. If you haven't learned this function yet, you need to.
The effect this has on chopped drum loops or individual sounds, fu.kin sickening. So dope.
For those that been using this function forever, God Bless Power users. Thanks for getting this feature in the Ren. I think Fanu was talking about this feature a lot.

That's the bomb. That's what I've always used when it comes to drums; I've never timestretched anything.
It certainly did take some pestering, but one of the team members finally got in touch and asked me to explain why it's so useful, so I did, and did a video on it, too.

Glad you liked it! :-)

What's up friends,
I also love this feature and can completely confirm what SILIS101 said. I had quite a few samples that were driving me nuts and thanks to alternate loop I am finally able to use them all. Dope feature that I recommend everybody should try out!
Thanks for initiating this, Fanu!

Have a nice and creative day!

Can you repost the video?

Cool video. So far I have used alt loop mainly for samples (without drums) instead of stretching as it is so much easier and faster. Works every time and does never sound artificial.

Thanks Fanu for getting this valuable tool included in an update. Along with the way Akai implemented this it's been a godsend for sound design and drums!
