Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I just got a pretty simple question about a setup with an mpc renaissance and an ASR-10.

What I would like to do:

I would like to sample sounds into my ASR-10 (direct sampling from Turntables and also put Samples into it that I sampled from the internet and then chopped them with my MPC Renaissance before feeding them to the ASR-10.

What will I need for it?

Will I need two Zip Drives for that? One Zip SCSI drive to connect with the ASR-10 and one ZIP Drive to connect with my Computer? Or is there another way I can achieve this? Is it not possible to hook up the ASR-10 directly with my MPC Renaissance (Midi) and then play samples with it that i actually loaded into my mpc renaissance? I would just like to benefit from the gritty sound of the ASR-10, so I thought it might be possible to hook up the REN with my ASR-10, then play the samples (which I loaded and chopped in the REN) on the ASR-10...then save them in the ASR and get them back somehow on my REN...maybe by playing them and recording them into REN again?

I am looking forward to hearing from you guys! Any help will be appreciated!

regards
