MPC 5000 vs MPC Renaissance effects same?

Hi there!

My friend has one MPC 5000,I think the effects are really cool,like grimey distortion,tape delay etc.

The question is, the built in effects are the same in the MPC Renaissance,or similar?

To me the fx are not as good in the Ren as the 5000. But overall it's still way better than the 5000 for chopping, workflow, etc, so it's worth getting if you're on the fence.

The MPC 5K has a thicker sound, more bulk to it. The same samples sound flimsy on the Ren. But the Ren has indeed better sound effects. I agree, the workflow is blazing fast on the Ren.

From what I know the effects arent converted to the Ren. At least not, the last time I did it, in v1.1 .
