i just got the mpc studio and i'm trying to loop a drum break the way you can do it on the "dr octo rex" in reason, "copy loop to track" so all the slices show up on your edit and play the loop automatically. That way you can solo/mute every drum hit in that loop.
I know that on the MPC software you will have to "patch phrase" your loop, but then it only plays the whole loop when i assign it to a pad on just one hit. Then if i pause the track and start it again the drums won't play until the bar re-loops.
Is there a way to simulate the "dr octo rex" without playing every hit manually?
