Mpc touch screen location

Ok I was just wondering for all the touch users do any of you feel like the screen shoulda been to the left of the pads or even on top of the pads?? I was just messing with it and was wondering why they designed it the way they did jus seems a little weird or maybe it's just me

You can thank that iiiidiot Dan from Akai for that huge mistake. The piss poor design was one reason I passed on it...that and the lack of tactile control...and the severe lack of connection options.

For a left handed user it may seem awkward but from my experience as a right hand user the work flow on the screen is fine.

Might be a throw back to the 60 and 3000 as they are on the left.


If you are right handed it's nothing to use the touch screen in and go to the pads.

I guess I'm goofy handed then. Lol it just seems awkward to me but still a beast imo.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the touch screen location at all.

MPC's always have the pads on the left side with everything else (screen and buttons) above or to the right of the pads.

The Touch screen real estate needed to be big enough to feel as though you didn't need your computer monitor and to make a "feel" stand alone.

Plus if the screen was too small, you'd be fat fingering the wrong commands regularly.

There's nothing wrong with the unit.

My first Mpc was the 2000 so that's what I've based it on. That's my comfort zone. The top would've been the best option for me. **** it imma still bang it out. It was just an observation
