My mpc studio is still n v1.0 . After reading of all the problems encountered when updating , I was reluctant to update ( only had it a few weeks) .
What benefits are gain by updating? I ain't seen no release notes.

Did any of the earlier versions of the mpc software support windows xp?

Firmware updates will fix bugs etc, you should do it.

As for XP, yes, very early releases were compatible, but those early versions of the MPC Software were unusable and featureless, so absolutely pointless using them. I would also question the use of Windows XP which I believe no longer receives security updates from Microsoft.

Move forward, don't be scared.

Most of the bugs that I've identified are in the software.
Are there still issues though when updating the firmware?
