MPC Software compression

Ok, so I'm learning compression and I'm seeing things about setting the threshold according to the gain reduction meter. Lol how do you do that with the compressors in the MPC software because I don't see a gain reduction meter.

Ouch that does make it harder. I have never used the Akai effects except the emulations. I wonder if theres a clever way to use some metering plugs?

for gain reduction there isn't as it has to be inbuilt into plugin ... I only use the inbuilt ones for effect .. like more of a destroying extreme effect rather than for dynamic fine control...

Yeah, I been practicing so I'm getting better. I can't wait for 2.0 though. They add the AIR Pro Tools plugins.

While the compressor can act somewhat like a limiter I would suggest a brick wall limiter in the final stages of mastering. I use this free plugin and it works great!

Not confirmed, as per this post from Simon Bangs (inMusic Marketing), they might not include AirFx at all.
