There was an error contacting the update server

Sometimes I check for updates manually with the Akai software. I'm getting an error saying "There was an update contacting the update server." Anybody else getting this?

What platform/os are you on, and which mpc software version?

MAC El Capitan
Version 1.9.5

Didn't realize I was on an older version. Went to the Akai website and downloaded the latest (1.9.6.1) and all good now.
