How do I record Sustain in Mpc Software?

I'm using the mpc studio with novation sl mk2, and cant figure out how to record the sustain on my piano track. I'm using the 1.9.5 software. I have a m-audio sustain pedal in the novation port.

You should be able to accomplish recording the sustain pedal events in Akai OS software through your Novation is there away for you to trouble shoot if the pedal and Novation are working in another software program?

I'm using the Oxygen 49 with Sustain Pedal (M-Audio SP-2 Pedal) in the sustainment port on the oxygen controller. The Oxygen 49 is connected into the Akai OS software 1.9.6 on Laptop via USB as an Active Midi Input.

In record mode with a plugin Piano instrument. I'm able to see and hear the playback of recorded Sustain pedal automation on the track in the (Main Mode) window on the LapTop.
