Hey Hellfire, so ive had to take the plunge with this new MBP, so far so good..
but now im wondering about the 2 options for audio select in the prefs.. MPC core Audio & MPC Bit..
any chance you know what the diff is?
if i select Core Audio the inputs of the Ren are changed (possibly only by name..)

other than that i cant see a problem in playing sequences made on my Mac Pro.
I can only imagine people might have issues with 3rd party plugs that havent been developed for it.. i know ive found a few.. Thank god for hardware instead...

I select core. Seems to work fine. I don't choose bit. I don't know what that is about.

I think that a Core Audio driver uses the system USB clock for sync, while a Bit Accurate driver uses the clock in the device.

Apparently you get lower latency and less jitter from a Bit Accurate driver, but you possibly can not output system sounds, and can not create an aggregate device, with it.

No problem here. 1.7.1 running fine under Yosemite.

Only problem is an old project with 30+ sequences producing 15 programs each, that maxes out my CPU. Didn't clean it up so far, so no info on that until now.

I seee you use an SP 404. How is it? I thought of getting one, but the ren has everything I need. I has an SP-505 a long time ago. It was ill.

It's a nice but old machine. No velocity, no layering, no co-triggers, which is why I don't use it that often anymore. As of now I mostly use it for it's LoFi sampling mode and some mad FX, but it's a handy and fun machine.

Word. I had a 202 back in the day and a 505 later on. They eventually got phased out by the purchase of an mpc 1000. Now I got the ren, roland FA-06, emu mp7, and mpc 1000. I use the 1000 to load up drum kits I've made over the years. Also to sample things off of VHS & DVD. MPC's have definitely come to be my favorite. Especially now I'm rockin the ren. The ren is pretty ill and easy to use. At first it was rough, but then It wasn't so bad.

Yeah! I used the 10.9 driver. The driver is for the hardware, but was updated for use with Mavericks. The driver still works with Mountain Lion as well, and is the only one that should be use with Yosemite until they decide to release a new one if necessary.

I just bought a second hand Mpc 1000 with JJos osxl version 3.39.

Comunication with yosemite seems impossible.

What to do?
Should i upload a different jjos version?
