I need MPC Touch Help. PLEASE

I just bought the MPC Touch, Installed all the software for it and my screen doesnt do anything. It just says Akai Professional. MPC. the pads seems to register in the program on my laptop but there are NO sounds and the screen doesnt do anything. Akai has no customer service number help at all. so i need help. i did the troubleshooting and it tells me to go to preferences>display>arrangement and click mirroring. but in displays there is no Arrangement or anything about mirroring.

What Operating System are you using?

El Capitan

could it be my hardrive?

Working well for me in El Capitan.

To me it sounds like it might be trouble with USB connection.
Have you tried several ports or cables?
Try thru a hub, too, just in case.

Mpc touch needs 4gb minimum.
