Sample recordings are distorted.

I have my MPC Touch receiving an input from my Roland MX1. I have various synths that are playing through the MX1, and I have been using the Aux/Send to send the individual channel signals to the Touch. Signal levels seem fine. The playback of the sample is of terrible quality, totally distorted lately. Some early recordings of drums seem fine, but the synths are all distorted.

I have not changed any Audio Preferences in the MPC software from the defaults, so not sure if that could be the issue. I don't know where to start to try and trouble shoot the issue.

Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thanks
