Mpc studio 2

Is MPC studio 2 a new release? Or is it something that has been released for a while and a new item will soon be released? I noticed it is sold out at a lot of places i just started using the software in addition to my standalone hardware but would like to get something more portable when I have to take my laptop anyways just wondering if I should buy the two now or if a new product is likely to come out soon

It's been out a while, nearly 3 years now, but it's not very good. I guess if you just need some portable pads and basic button/dial control it would be an option especially as USB powered. But the overall hardware integration is poor (no proper screen UI, no QLINKS etc). It's not a successor to the Studio Mk1.

So better just to use a live or live 2 as controller if needed?

A MPC One unless you need the battery in the Live’s.
