Definite improvement here. It stays on a low level even after adding a ton of effects plug ins. Automatically recognised my 8 cores too and set itself to that by default.

Installed MPC Ren on to a new laptop yesterday and the CPU is spiking something crazy despite the laptop being more powerful than my desktop. HP ZFury G7 with 8 x i9 processors, 64gb ram & 2tb SSD. Windows Pro 11.
Will check the preferences section in the MPC Software to see if there's something i can adjust to rectify this.
