Do you plan on purchasing one of the new Akai MPC models?

Bug reports & end-user support for Akai's MPC Software 'controllers' including the new MPC Studio 2, the MPC Touch, MPC Renaissance & original MPC Studio and MPC StudioB lack.

I do. I just bought maschine like a month ago. Still have my mpc2500. I dont know about the MPC Ren, Ill have to see what the others look like and what they have.

My main reason for purchasing maschine is because im traveling and all my records are ripped to my hard drive. I needed portability. The MPC Ren looks a little too big, so hopefully the next one will be smaller.

I'd also be down to be a tester for akai!

i was thinking this account is being used by multiple people (different 'style' throughout different posts), or at least he's being told what to answer to certain remarks here (so combined with his 'real posts', his account gives the impression of a real and mpc savvy mpc ren 'afficionado')
he's also doing stuff i would expect akai to do anyway

could well be wrong though :)

His name is on the MPC 5000 testers list. He's defiantly affiliated with Akai. That would explain a lot.

Funny how he's suddenly not around. Google his name, just look at how many people hate him and call him a troll. He's been on every single music forum dedicating the same time and effort everywhere.

With that dedication he can only be working through Akai themselves.

I can't really make a decision off a 1:30 video and short feature list. If I try it out and like it then more than likely I'll buy one (and replace those tacky pads). I like the design and concept. The newest MPC I've ever owned was a 2000xl so its about time for an upgrade. I'm not really seein why its bein criticized so much.

guys guys cmon ive use all of the mpcs except the 3000 and had no problem with them at all i have a mpk 61 too no prob either (with reaper its a beast ) no latency on the mpk at all latency on any mpc hardware mod never ni maschine is cool too but i got to check out the other modules b4 i buy one I WANT A NEW MPC

It's all me. I actually changed my user name for the new year. I have been a forum member here as long as anyone. My 'style' changed up because I got some great advice from some cool dudes in the forum and I am taking the high road...when in the past, I would have gave certain folks "da business." Several forum members have beta tested OS for MPCs over the years. They don't post any more because of the "harmony" in the forum. I'm passionate about MPCs which is the only reason why I continue to even post here.

In the end, the MPC Ren will be released. Forum members that are interested in the product will buy it, post their reviews and share tips. You will see an influx of new members and some members who no longer visit this site may return. Reading these reviews may perhaps convince other forum members to give it a try (or not).

I think if they would have re-released the MPC 3000 with 512 mb RAM,JJOS, CF Reader, 80 GB internal HD, and USB ports, people still would have complained.

It's a credibility issue with the New Akai.Very understandable.

Im definitely getting one of these. I personally love the simplicity of akai's sequencing and feel the software will be right up my alley. I love the work flow of the mpc. I use to use the xl then the 2500 with reason and loved it. Now I'll have what I always wanted. I personally love software & hardware. Maschine is dope but not my style.
