Should I buy the MPC-R?

OK, I have a mpc2500le 054/500 to be specific lol. Before my current MPC days i was a heavy FL studio head using VSTi's and Soundfonts etc. you get the point.

Now recently maybe dec 2011, my mpc froze and i kinda gave up on it, and returned to FL studio and i realized my potential with creating music using VSTi.

ive tried everything to sync my mpc and fl studio using vsti's since my mpc started working again, and ive had a headache getting everything to run smoothly and syncronized.

The MPC-R offers that flexibility, now my question, again, should i consider the MPC-R,
or is there someone who can help me out with the FL MPC2500 combo?

fyi: i use the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra for tracking my beats out into live.

lol really?? i cant sample in fl studio and i wanna sample and add my VSTi's NOW! im a dope sampler on the MP so someone plz give me some useful and justified advice...PLEASE lol...thanks..

Just use your DAW as a sound module for your MPC.

First Question: do you have the $$$$?
2nd Question: if not, will you sell the 2500 to get the $$$$?
3rd and last: Is your 'puter fast enuf to handle all them VSTs and PLUGIN?

Personally, I would keep the MPC 2500. If you are not feeling FL than try the latest version of Reason.

When the MPC Ren drops, if its feature set is appealing to you, I would certainly buy it. But I emphasize I wouldn't give up the MPC 2500. I will always keep at least 1 standalone/hardware MPC is my lab. For me...its the 2000XL which I will replace with the 2500 or 5000.

u got two choices the ren and the maschine only time will tell but defo the solid hardware build of the ren is already a win.

Everyone that has seen the hardware so far is impressed with it.

think i shouldve posted this thread in the mpc2500 section, i'd rather an answer about the FL+MPC2500 combo...

So it's hard for you to control VSTis with your 2.5K... I won't assume that the REN will make it any easier.

AND I won't buy the REN solely for the integration of HW/SW instruments.

I'd rather invest my time in learning how to properly config the MPC+FL combo, eventually relying on a different DAW to host my virtual synths (Reeper is free and easy config/use).

Then, only if the system you're running does not grant you acceptable latency with a fair small buffer size, I will upgrade CPU|RAM, eventually buying an Apple

What I mean by that it's that if you like to compose with full of VSTi/FXs and you cannot lower your buffer size without getting crack and pops, the REN won't help you there.

A new PC may help you, instead. As unloading some FX/Synth during the beat-making... play a VSTi at the time, print it and leave all inessential FXs off until you tracked the beat out. This will allow you to lower that **** buffer (32/64 is a good size, 128 is still acceptable) reducing the latency and allowing you to play the soft synths 'AS IF' they were hardware units.
