MPC STUDIO - missing screen pixels

Whats up everybody?...I just got the MPC Studio 2 days ago and was wondering if anybody else with the studio gets a glitch in the lcd screen. It is when you are in a different screen...like from main screen to the 16 levels screen. It looks like and is missing pixels in the letters of words and words over lapping...Its crazy...It doesn't do it all the time just some of the time. Ill try and get a picture of it next time it does it if nobody gets what im say...Thanks guys

I would suggest going over bug report list and post it up if it dont exist, but I believe this problem has been already reported with Ren

I've gotten it once.

Looks like you need to return it, before it's gets worse.

Did you try to push very very gently on the part of the lcd with the missing pixels and does it change anything?
Perhaps it's a hardware fault?

Yeah im just going to send it back and have it replaced... if don't give me my money back....I don't know about these New MPC's just to many negatives compared to the positives...Pretty much not liking the studio...The buttons are pretty bad was hoping it had real akai plastic buttons...and its hard to see the screen a lot harder then the 1000...but whatever right..

Thats a funny statement. I hate plastic buttons though, I prefer all rubber buttons, that would've been really professional

I would contact Akai and make sure that it's not a simple fix, it might be a driver issue or something. I messed around with the MPC Studio and I thought it was cool because it is so portable, if I start going to other people's studios alot more then I may get a MPC studio too.

First, make sure you have the current OS update which is 1.2.

What I see in the pic doesn't look like a hardware issue. The same issue surfaced on the Ren in 1.1 when doing certain tasks (see bug report thread).

I have the 1.2 installed and the 64 bit driver for the studio..went and reinstalled the driver so far no issue with the screen but i now have a pad issue. On the software it puts the same drum sample on the pad next to each other... then i hit pad 6 pad 5 triggers too but if i hit 5 6 doesnt trigger...I hope 1.3 comes out and fixes all these whack bugs..

That sounds like you have Simultaneous Play on for Pad 6. So when you strike it, it plays Pad 5 as well.

1. Enter Program Edit Mode

2. Strike Pad 6 (it should turn green)

3. Press F1 [Master]

4. Look at the software, far left screen under Simultaneous Play. There are 4 Pad buttons. OFF should be displayed over all 4 buttons
