anyone got a release date yet,,,its on ren facebook page looks pretty sick,,,,,is it out soon

Not seeing it here either.
The only I see is an image of FL studio in AkaiMPCRenaissance facebook page, that it's not the official akai facebook page.

Found it, it's just a fan page. The fan page shared someone's photo and wrote that they can't wait for the new update. Doesn't seem like they have inside info. I'm sure if 1.6 was coming down the line, we would have already had the month in advance screen shot that makes us thing more features have been added then have been.

I can usually read between the lines, but that 2+2 isn't equaling 1.6 for me!

There were comments from Akai that updates would be coming more quickly after 1.5, so hopefully it shouldn't be too long, don't think it is imminent as yet.
Maybe the MINIAK editor does point to a new darker/gray theme for MPC Software as well, we will have to see.

A new update can't be coming so soon, surely?
I really don't see how you're jumping to that conclusion based on a Fruity Loops snapshot and Daniel Metcalfe saying he can't wait for the next update?

Don't forget the MINIAK editor, and the photo of the stars! 
How often were the updates released up until now, every 3 months?
Next should be imminent by the end of January, still is a little early for imminence at the moment.
But if they release them more regularly than previously, after 1.5, as I think I read somewhere, maybe earlier.
But it will be Christmas/New Years in there as well, no idea what that would do to the regularity of update releases

Yeah, the photoshop dream skin that someone posted here previously.
