Would it be possible to have another button for adding slices in lazy chop, besides the F button? It is not very precise and rather uncomfortable. I would like to be able to add slices via a drum pad for example. What do you all think?

Honestly, my main concern is that sooner or later the F6 button will not withstand the test of time. And I try to push all buttons gently, I'm not hacking away. However, the F buttons don't seem to be the sturdiest elements of the Ren. But yeah, no big deal in the end… 1.8 is still dope!

+ by pad. I would like to be able to assign the pad I want to use.

the problem with chopping via a pad is you would have to have a separate mode for auditioning chops and adding chops.. i like how you can currently play your pads and audition slices all while fine tuning with q-links and adding new slices.. it can be really efficient

the work around would have to be something like this.. when you hit a blank pad it adds a slice and when you a pad with an existing slice it auditions it

that could be nice

+1.. I was thinking this also!

Plus from using past hardware MPC (3000, 2000 XL, 2500, etc.), The functions buttons seem to be the 1st buttons to get damaged. The least wear and tear on those type of buttons, the better.
