No sound coming from vst plugins in MPC software.

I am using the MPC Studio Black and MPC software. I successfully scanned my plugins and I am able to load them and open them in MPC... BUT...

I am only getting sound from the 809 Expansion. The other expansion that came with MPC, The Bank, and all other vst plugins I get no sound. I do see audio levels in the MPC and plugin but hear nothing. Please advise.

post the specs of your computer

Windows 10, i5, 12GB ram.

Can you hear the presets from Hybrid 3?

You know what... I can hear something... like a fuzz wobble sound but it is not the plugin preset loaded sound. It is weird. I have tried several presets within Hybrid but nothing!?

I can open the plugin within the MPC software and use my mouse and hear it just fine. But when I try using the pads on the MPC Studio Black I get no sound at all. Just the audio level bouncing around in the MPC software and in the open plugin.

Is your correct audio driver selected under audio device type

and when you press test do you hear a normal windows style test tone?

Yes. I have the Audio setup correctly.

When I load the 809 Expansion Plugin it works awesome. It links to the pads, I can play it on the MPC Studio Black and I hear all the sounds. It is just when I try loading ALL OTHER plugins including the BANK, Hybrid, Loom, Big Bang Drums, plus others... that I get no sound.

Silly suggestion, can you press the pad bank C on the controller and then hit pad 1. You might be too low on the keyboard octave.

That is a great suggestion. I will try that. I am busy at the moment but give me an hour and I will let you know.

Okay, that should work. I tested the plugins you listed

The Bank Preset One - Does not have a sound until Bank B pad 12

AWESOME! That was it! Kick ass! Thanks so much for brainstorming.

So my next question would be how do I move the registry up so it starts on Pad Bank A or adjust a note to start on Pad 1? Or just point me to the correct documentation and I can figure it out.

No problem, I happen to have the day off so I just been browsing on here waiting for some pre naam news.

Don't think you can move that up, your pads are emulating a keyboard in plugin mode. So you at mercy at the keyboard scale.

Nice! I hope they release the MPC 2.0 for the Studio Black! This is my first entry level into the MPC world. The X and Live do look badass. If I was deep into it I would splurge on the X for sure! My first instrument is the guitar and I have a few nice ones so I can see it. What are your wishes for NAMM?

Touch Users get 2.0 for Free and I think Black users also (don't quote me on that though). https://ask.audio/articles/akai-mpc-software-reaches-2-0
