The marketing campaign is directed towards amatures. The twitter feeds and Facebook feeds are about as amature as it gets. I don't know how long it's going to take for some of you to realize that this is NUMARK not AKAI. This is not 25 years of MPC history. It's less than ten. The company retained the AKAI brand to fool the sheep that lack the intellectual vigilance to look pass the AKAI brand. Nobody would buy MPCs if they had the Numark brand. Numark is known for cheap carbon copies. Which is basically what The Ren is..an expensive carbon copy of The Maschine..you all will learn.
Anybody buying The Ren is basically buying a Maschine clone, but paying like 800 extras dollars for an interface...as if anybody needs an extra interface these days. Any extra feature that The Ren will have Native Intstruments is bound to answer with a way better sound library.
I hope I'm wrong because the MPC is my instrument.....but I doubt that I am.
